Carmelo Anthony has been overshadowed by LeBron James his entire career. Two franchise forwards from the same draft class. Anthony’s development has been slower than LeBron, however he has blossomed into one of the league’s most prolific scorers…still not as prolific as James though, who leads the league at 30.1 points per game. When James and Anthony went head-to-head last night, James again made Anthony’s superstar line of 40 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds forgettable. James’ stat-line last night made the utter concept of a triple-double laughable, as he poured in 43 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds. But it was Anthony who got the last laugh this time, burying a cold-hearted, highly contested shot from the left wing, right over the outstretched arm of James. Dagger.
