Nightly Noise: Vince Carter gets an unorthodox assist

The more I watch this replay, the more I’m convinced that Vince Carter actually has no idea what he is doing. He drives into the most crowded area on the court, leaves his feet with his back to the basket, and throws up a strange lob (for his sake, I’ll assume this wasn’t a horrendous backwards shot) to a lurking Dwight Howard. J.J. Redick looks on in approval, as if this is just how a screaming Stan Van Gundy drew it up.
